Returning from an Unplanned Absence

As some of you have noted, no doubt, I have not posted in a very long time. It has been over a month since I last put fingers to keyboard in a leadership context and I would like to apologize for that. There is no good excuse for having given up a project I hold dear, and while I could give you many reasons I stayed away, none would fully account for my absence. The fact of the matter is I let someone take the wind from my sails with a single comment, delivered through another. I let a piece of feedback so shake my confidence that I was unsure I had any place writing a blog like this or trying to share what I have learned about leadership.

I have learned from that error, though, and I am back. I have learned that even the worst or most hurtful of commentary about my work should not justify giving it up if I really feel passionately about it. And I do feel passionately about this blog.

So, I’m back. Starting on Monday the 6th, regularly scheduled posts will resume. I hope I have not lost too many of you in the interim, but I would understand if some did not persevere through my unannounced and unexplained absence.

Much love and respect,

Karli
